Ice cream, ice cream, ice cream .... irresistible!

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 7 tablespoons nutella
  • 1 box of mascarpone 250 gr.
  • vanilla
  • hazelnuts
  • ice cream cones

Servings: 15

Preparation time: less than 30 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Nutella ice cream with hazelnuts:

In a bowl (metal bowl for ice cream) put condensed milk, add nutella, vanilla and mix lightly, put mascarpone, mix until smooth and freeze quickly.

Until it froze, I mixed it with a fork twice.

Put as many as you want in the cone with hazelnuts and fully enjoy its delicious taste!

We start by preparing whipped cream: the cream is mixed until it starts to increase in volume. Add two tablespoons of sugar, vanilla seeds and mix at high speed until thickened. For consistency you can add a few drops of lemon juice. (Keep cold for at least an hour).

Frozen berries are passed together with yogurt and honey. Add cold cream and incorporate completely. Put the dish in the fridge for two or three hours, then take it out and mix the ice cream again. Then put in cups / glasses / favorite shapes and keep in the freezer until serving. Garnish with fresh fruit, fruit topping or chocolate. Good appetite!

Mix the egg whites with a pinch of salt, then gradually add the sugar.
Add the yolks one by one, continuing to mix.
Hazelnuts, almonds and caramelized walnuts are chopped with a knife and added to the above mixture.
Add the vanilla extract.
Sift the flour mixed with cocoa and add it gradually, stirring with a spatula from the bottom up.
The obtained mixture is placed in a tray lined with baking paper and put in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Preparation of hazelnut cream, almonds and caramelized nuts:

Hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts are fried in the oven.
In a bowl, melt the sugar, then add the hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts, stirring constantly.
Hazelnuts, almonds and caramelized walnuts are removed on an aluminum foil and allowed to cool.
They are first crushed with a knife, then they are put in the food processor, obtaining small granules.
The yolks mixed with the sugar are put on the steam bath, stirring constantly until the whole amount of sugar dissolves.
Remove from the heat, add the diced butter, mix gently, and leave to cool.
Whip the cream and mix with the egg cream and butter.
At the end we put the hazelnuts, almonds and chopped walnuts, mixing very well.
Leave the cream in the fridge for about an hour.

Cake assembly and decoration:

The baked and cooled top is cut into two equal parts, and syruped with a boiled and cooled syrup of water, sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Place the first top on a plate, put the cream of hazelnuts, almonds and caramelized walnuts (keeping a little cream for garnish) and the second top.
Dress the cake in cream and decorate with hazelnuts, almonds and caramelized walnuts.

* If you do not have time, fun, food processor, etc., there are several variants of chocolate cream sugar free commercially acceptable, namely: Sweet & Safe, Greentella, Greentella Omega. Click on the link and enter the online store page to buy them, you & # 8217re welcome :)

**Liquid cream without carrageenan I have found so far only these 3 assortments: Dairy with Caimac, Sanlacta, Craftswoman and Ken Nata (with 35% or 38% fat, buy only online). Cream without carrageenan should be beaten with a little lemon juice to harden, being natural. If you have discovered any other brand, let me know :)

Hazelnuts have been harvested in the Black Sea region and Turkey for at least 2,300 years. Turkey is still the world's largest exporter of hazelnuts. Today, they are grown in many parts of the world, and demand has grown substantially. A hazelnut can produce nuts up to the age of 80.
In ancient times, hazelnuts were used as medicine, being mentioned in Chinese manuscripts dating from 2838 BC.
Hazelnuts contain protein, healthy fats, fiber, manganese, copper, vitamin E, B6, C, K, thiamine, magnesium, folate, phosphorus, iron, potassium, niacin, calcium and zinc.
1 Promotes heart health
In general, walnuts fight heart disease, and hazelnuts are no exception. They contain vitamins and minerals that promote heart health. In addition to fiber, they also contain a large amount of monounsaturated fatty acids, which help reduce LDL cholesterol (bad) and increase HDL cholesterol (good).
Studies conducted by the American Society for Nutrition have shown that diets rich in hazelnuts have lowered LDL cholesterol, reduced inflammation and improved blood lipids.
These hazelnuts also contain a considerable amount of magnesium, which helps regulate the balance of calcium and potassium and is essential for blood pressure.
2 Helps control diabetes
In a 2015 study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, an interesting result was produced on how diabetic patients reacted when they introduced hazelnuts into their diet. It was concluded that they recorded decreases in cholesterol levels. The surprising variable was that hazelnuts have a stronger effect on diabetics than for those without diabetes.
3 Antioxidant
The antioxidants present in hazelnuts eliminate harmful free radicals from the body and help prevent disease. They are an excellent source of vitamin E, which helps fight aging and disease by reducing inflammation.

4 Stimulates the brain
Peanuts are full of elements that can improve cognitive function of the brain and help prevent degenerative diseases later in life. Due to high levels of vitamin E, manganese, thiamine, folic acid and fatty acids, a diet supplemented with hazelnuts can help maintain brain health.
In a recent study published in Nutritional Neuroscience, hazelnuts were tested for their neuroprotective qualities. When offered as a dietary supplement, hazelnuts have been able to improve memory and prevent anxiety.
5 Helps prevent cancer
Due to the large number of antioxidants, it fights cancer. Vitamin E is the most notable cancer prevention supplement. Studies have shown the ability of vitamin E to reduce the risk of prostate, breast, colon and lung cancer, while preventing the growth of mutations and tumors.
6 Hazelnuts increase bone strength
Wonderful hazelnuts are rich in essential minerals needed by the body to ensure healthy bones. Menopausal women may have fragile bones, especially if they have osteoporosis.
7 Contributes to skin and hair health
Vitamin E from hazelnuts helps maintain healthy skin and hair. The antioxidant capabilities of this vitamin can help prevent damage caused by UV rays or cigarette smoke. It also helps improve blood circulation and reduces inflammation. Vitamin E helps treat scars, acne and wrinkles, due to its ability to regenerate skin cells.
8 Protects muscles
Magnesium plays a vital role in regulating the amount of calcium that reaches the cells in the body. An adequate amount of calcium encourages muscle contractions and allows the muscles to relax, which helps you avoid tension, spasms, muscle cramps and fatigue.
Careful! If you are allergic to hazelnuts, they can cause serious reactions and can sometimes be life-threatening!

Hazelnuts: They nibble with pleasure, one after the other

Hazelnuts remain the most popular wild fruit. Delicious, crunchy and nutritious, we gnaw them with pleasure, one after the other.

Hazelnuts, in the wild or in your garden, are the favorite food of squirrels, because they were the first to appreciate their nutritional value. Then people discovered them. Peanuts are the fruits of the hazelnut.

What is a hazelnut?

The hazelnut is a fruiting shrub, reaching 5-7 m in height. You can find it in all regions of the country but most of all it likes the hill. The hazelnut grows spontaneously and cheerfully next to oak, ash, beech, maples but also next to poplars, forming real impenetrable bushes. It adapts wherever it finds suitable ground. The soil on which the hazelnuts grow must be drained, fertile and loose.

With their heart-shaped leaves and fruit surrounded by green lace that dries when the peanuts ripen, hazelnuts are an interesting, productive and noteworthy fruiting shrub.

Until they ripen and fall, the hazelnuts are protected by the leaves and the foliage at their base, a lacy covering called the wrapper.

You can grow hazelnuts in your garden.

Hazelnuts will be larger than those in the forest. The hazelnuts, the delicious fruits of the hazelnut, when ripe, have a reddish-brown skin, a sweet, dense and tasty core. They can be eaten simple, as a snack,

or with chocolate, ice cream and other sweets, with meat, fish, cheese, fruits and vegetables, in sweet or savory dishes. And no one forgets about Nutella because it's made from hazelnuts.

The peanuts ripen at the end of August but can be kept for a long time, in a dry environment.

If you keep them handy, you will surely eat them.

Why eat peanuts

These small, crunchy, tasty fruits have been true allies of human health since ancient times. In fact, doctors in the fifteenth century recognized their therapeutic properties but there is evidence that hazelnuts have always been consumed for nutritional purposes.

Peanuts are also recommended in various diets but are an integral part of the vegan diet. They have vitamins but especially minerals such as magnesium, copper, iron and calcium but also fiber.

Peanuts are an energetic fruit, experts say, (100g of hazelnuts have 628 kcal) because they contain large amounts of lipids (60%), but this does not mean that they should be considered & # 8220risky & # 8221 foods. The lipids contained, in fact, are precious monounsaturated fatty acids because they help reduce & # 8220 bad & # 8221 cholesterol, help protect aging tissues, prevent arteriosclerosis and cardiovascular disease.

With an antioxidant role, low glycemic index, control cholesterol, hazelnuts have beneficial properties for the immune system, but must be consumed in small quantities (30 g maximum / day) if you do not want to gain weight.

Peanuts have an appreciable content of fiber, B vitamins and mineral salts (calcium, magnesium, iron and potassium), are rich in phytosterols (natural substances that help prevent cardiovascular disease). So, as with many foods, moderate consumption certainly has beneficial effects.

Considered a precious tree, stories have been created around the hazelnut:

Some myths, these fabulous stories about the beliefs of a people

From ancient times, man has believed in the magical value of hazelnut and built stories around it. The hazelnut is an old shrub, whose appearance is traced back to prehistoric times. It was appreciated by ancient peoples in different historical periods and was attributed magical properties, including:

In the purely Romanian version, with the hazelnut stick you can kill or drive away the snakes or protect your house from evil if you keep a hazelnut stick behind the door. And there are more: the hazelnut stick takes you in the direction of treasures, it helps you in the enchantments of love, and if you keep a hazelnut branch on you, you will win the lawsuits, no matter how hard they are.

What can I say, Romanians have always been inventive, but we are not ashamed of other peoples either:

For the Celts, hazelnuts were a symbol of wisdom (it seems that hazelnut food was considered a good source of knowledge) and the wood of the plant was used to create tables for food dedicated to the gods. For Celtic peoples, the hazelnut tree was known as the "sacred tree" because its fruit represented wisdom and knowledge.
In Germany with hazelnut stalks, it was possible to drive away witches.

For the Romans in ancient Rome, hazelnuts had the power of reconciliation between spouses and were part of the daily diet because hazelnuts were attributed fertility virtues. In fact, the Romans donated peanut baskets to young families as an amulet of fertility, prosperity and peace.

Homemade nutella

Nutella it can be made in the house extremely simple, with ingredients that can be found everywhere. Do Nutella For some time now, my children have been big lovers of Nutella.

I'll give you one simple recipe, which I really liked and is very easy to make.

  • -bee honey 100 g (or stevia sweetener 3 tbsp)
  • -1 can of unsweetened condensed milk
  • -150 g of dark chocolate with at least 50% cocoa (I used 70%)
  • -50 g butter

Put the nuts in the food processor and grind as finely as possible. Melt the butter and chocolate together on the fire, then add them to the food processor, along with the condensed milk and honey (or sweetener). Mix everything well.

In 5 minutes you will have an extremely fine cream.

Depending on the taste, it can be flavored with vanilla, rum or orange. Maybe even with a pinch of hot pepper. & # 128578

Mix flour with salt and water. Form a crust and cover it with food-grade plastic wrap. Leave it in the fridge for 2 hours. Meanwhile, form a rectangle of butter. Spread the shell in a rectangular shape and place the butter in the middle. Fold like an envelope, and begin to stretch lengthwise. When it starts to exceed the width of the table, fold it in half and put it back in the fridge for 2 hours. Repeat this process twice more. You can be inspired by the Video 1 link in the description.

Spread the puff pastry and place it on the back of two oven trays. Cover it with baking sheet and place a second tray on top of it (so it doesn't swell). Bake at 220 degrees Celsius for 15-18 minutes (depending on your oven). Remove the tray from the top, apply with a brush a thin layer of syrup made of 200 g sugar and 150 g water. Put back in the oven, this time without the tray on top until browned. See how to do Video 2.
